Heightvale, Spa Road Industrial Estate, Bolton

A COMPANY which can trace its roots back more than 60 years has beaten adversity by its shrewd “adapt or die” philosophy.

This bold principle adopted by Heightvale Ltd is illustrated by the news that the business is on target to achieve a seven-figure turnover this year.

Yet, just nine years ago, the Bolton firm was on the brink of possible closure.

However, in the intervening years it has continued to develop and grow, while retaining and enhancing its good reputation.

Heightvale Ltd is a damage management company, involved in building and contents re-instatement.

On the building side, the firm works throughout the North-west, while the contents aspect is nationwide.

The Bolton company is the new generation of Bolton Carpets & Upholstery, a company established in 1948 when value meant something and customer service meant everything.

Business development manager, Mr James White, said: “Retaining that same standard of service has been the key factor to our success, which has seen 27 per cent growth over the last three years.”

Heightvale Ltd, based at Bolton’s Spa Road Industrial Estate, has additionally developed a bolt-on subsidiary network, CARE (Claims Advisors & Restoration Experts).

The network is dedicated to delivering a contents restoration service on a national basis.

With its own specialised team of administration, field and craftsmen ensuring that new- thinking, carbon-conscious attitudes are met, the business is witnessing a significant increase in its workload.

This has also seen Heightvale increase its workforce to 65.

Mr White continued: “We are not only thriving but, indeed, growing.

“Our belief in ‘getting it right first time every time’ has ensured repeat business is achieved.”

Looking to the future, he said: “Presently, we are negotiating expansion into bespoke premises to create a ‘centre of excellence’”.
