A MAN accused of murdering his girlfriend ran out of the dock when the prosecutor described the horrific stab wounds she suffered.
Ricardo Morrison, aged 22, formerly of Birmingham, is accused of stabbing his model girlfriend, Amy Barnes, to death in Farnworth in November last year.
Manchester Crown Court heard the 19-year-old suffered multiple stab wounds to her front, back and face.
Stuart Driver, prosecuting, said: “Some of these injuries required severe force for the knife to be stuck in.”
At this point Morrison ran out of the dock and his co-accused, his mother, Melda Wilks, aged 50, of Birmingham, burst into tears.
Wilks denies assisting an offender.
The court heard that after the attack, as Miss Barnes lay dying in the house she called 999. Mr Driver said: “This is what she said, ‘I’m, dying. He’s stabbed me to death. I’m dying, please help me’.
“The operator asked who stabbed her and she said, ‘my boyfriend’.”
Proceeding.
