RICARDO Morrison is shown looking wide eyed and nervous during a police interview.

In the film footage, released by Greater Manchester Police, Morrison, wearing a dark blue sweatshirt, at first appears to be in control, but as he is played a recording of Amy’s desperate 999 call, he becomes agitated and pulls a handkerchief from his trouser pocket before putting it to his eyes and then putting his head in his hands.

His face is not seen on the film again.

Instead he is shown putting his hands inside his sweatshirt and pulling up to his chin. He then puts his hands through the neckhole and covers his ears as though he did not want to hear the harrowing call.

He ends by pulling his jumper completely over his head and is seen rocking to and fro.

The film is in stark contrast to CCTV stills released of Morrison shortly after he murdered Amy.

Dressed in a black and red jacket — the one he later washed in his mother’s washing machine —and bob hat, he is pictured in the RBS bank Manchester. The time on the CCTV is 13.54pm. Amy was found by her father shortly after 11.30am.

At the counter he looks calm and there are no outward signs of the horrific murder he had committed just hours before.

He is also pictured buying a sandwich at Manchester Bus Station before he boarded the bus to Birmingham, and to his mother’s home where he was arrested that night.
