AN author recounting life in Bolton during the 1950s and 1960s is holding two reunions to gather material for a book.
Ray Sandiford, aged 64, of Breightmet, is inviting people who went to the Drumbeat Club in Higher Bridge in 1963 and 1964 to join him for a film showing footage of teenagers dancing at the venue and share their memories.
It will take place in The Wellington Pub in Bury Road, Bolton, next Wednesday at 7.30pm and will be followed by a reunion for people who attended Castle Hill Primary School and lived in Astley Bridge, Hall i’th’ Wood, and Tonge Moor areas.
Mr Sandiford said: “Memories and stories will help me with my research for my book. Those who are coming are invited to bring their old photographs along.”
