Police investigating a double-fatal shooting in March 2006 have released the picture of a man they would like to speak to.

Marcus Rico Callaghan, aged 25, is believed to have returned to the UK after spending time in Spain.

Callaghan may pose a danger to the public and is not to be approached.

He was already sought by police in connection with a robbery and a kidnap offence, when on Sunday 12 March 2006 two men, Carlton Alveranga and Richard Austin, were shot dead after a botched assassination attempt at the Brass Handles pub in Salford.

Three people have previously been convicted and sentenced for the part they played in the shooting, but officers believe that Callaghan still holds vital information.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call police on 0161 856 8259 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
