A POPULAR Horwich restaurant was the venue for a seminar on the availability of Government-funded Train to Gain grants.
The seminar at Spice Valley in Lee Lane was hosted by Bolton accountants Cowgill Holloway and was aimed at letting clients and other companies know about grants for training senior managers.
The information on Train to Gain was presented by Patricia Mellor from Business Link who said that the money could be used to train staff and help businesses grow and in turn help the economy grow. The grant covers leadership and management, and is only available through Business Link.
Phil Keeling, senior business manager at Cowgill Holloway, on Chorley New Road, said the company had got the idea for the seminar after attending the recently establish professional curry club.
He said:” We attended that club and thought we could do something similar for our clients to tell them about the Train to Gain grants which can help their businesses.”
