IN response to Mrs Southward about the potential for food trays and cans in the green boxes to attract vermin: I always wash out food containers before putting them in the green box. Don't you?
I'd have thought that was just common sense.
The green boxes are not big enough, nor are they emptied frequently enough.
It would be better to empty the green box weekly, because it is overflowing after a fortnight, but I need to put my dustbin out only once every three weeks.
I would prefer to have a separate wheelie bin for recycling, but I accept that not everyone has the space to accommodate one.
