THE past week has seen the level of Island Lodge at Tottington lowered to the base of the wall to cure the leak behind peg 22.

This was accomplished by the introduction of pulled clay rammed into the obvious holes topped by plastic medium and back filled with sand and cement sandbags.

The level of the lodge is now rising and and it is hoped this will return the lodge to an improved level.

Also, on Parkers, the owner has installed a sluice gate on the newly dug hatchery at the top end of the bottom lodge to maintain a good depth in which to introduce carp stock to feed on with pellet feed.
