AN 11-ACRE site close to the award-winning Eagley Brook apartments will be developed into a waterside residential development.
A total of 156 one, two and three bedroom apartments are planned for the land.
David McLean Homes Manchester has been granted outline planning consent for what it says is a prime piece of development land for the company's portfolio. It believes the flagship site is expected to prove extremely popular with buyers looking for a home with a difference.
The development will enable residents to have waterside views since it will sit beside a feature reservoir and Eagley Brook. It is also located close to a leisure and retail park, meaning quality restaurants, entertainment and retailers are only a short walk away.
Salford-based architects, Street Design, have been employed to design the scheme which will consist of seven blocks of apartments, all of which will have balconies.
Phil Marston, sales director of David McLean Manchester, said: "Eagley Brook is an exciting acquisition for the company and very much part of our strategic plans to expand across the region working on bigger and better sites.
"With the acquisition of a 287-apartment scheme is Salford Quays last year, we are proving our capabilities as a diverse house builder capable of developing a range of exciting projects."
The development will be marketed as Arcadia which translates into "a region of tranquillity and beauty".
Construction is due to start on site in late spring or early summer of this year.
