A TEAM of acoustic musicians are to take to the stage to raise cash for Comic Relief on Friday, March 11.
They originally arranged the gig which is to take place upstairs at the Balmoral in Bradshawgate to raise cash for victims of the tsunami disaster. But when the appeal fund was wound up recently, organisers decided to go ahead with the gig with the cash going to Comic Relief.
Headline act wil be Alec Martin and guests, and the rest of the line up includes Geoff Garcia, Nick Jackson, John McFadden and Harry "the Bar Steward". The evening will be compered by Hovis Presley. Tickets cost £5 and are available from the Man and Scythe in Churchgate.
