BOLTON LADIES 2 LITTLEBOROUGH 0: Bolton kept a pleasing clean sheet on Sunday, as they banked another three points and completed the double over their opponents.
The game was a competitive affair and both umpires had to deal firmly with a number of niggling challenges and outbreaks of dissent.
After a spell of concerted pressure Bolton made the first breakthrough when Julie Bluer applied the decisive touch in a goulmouth scramble.
Later in the half, Suzanne Stapleton added to the tally, with another of her trademark crashing shots from a short comer routine and at half time Bolton had the upper hand at 2-0 up.
In the second half Littleborough came out fighting and applied a little pressure of their own. However they were unable to capitalise on a couple of good chances, and Bolton successfully played out the remaining minutes of the game, keeping the ball in the Littleborough half to neutralise any threats.
