A 21-YEAR-OLD man accused of a late night sex attack on a 14-year-old schoolgirl in Waterfoot last December has denied the assault.
Stephen Ainscow, who lived in Burnley Road East, Waterfoot, before moving to Bolton, pleaded not guilty at Burnley Crown Court to rape and attempted rape of the girl on December 4. He also denied an allegation of sexual assault, said to have taken place the day before, on a different woman.
Ainscow's case was adjourned until June 6 when a trial will be held.
Judge Christopher Cornwall bailed him on condition he lives at a bail hostel in Carlisle under a 7pm to 7am curfew.
He must also not have any unsupervised contact with children, must not enter Lancashire except to attend court or to see his solicitor, and must not to contact prosecution witness.
