A HIT-and-run motorcyclist who left a 14-year-old boy with a broken leg is being hunted by police.

The teenager was skateboarding with friends on Deal Street, Bury, when a yellow off-road motorbike sped down the street on one wheel and hit him and a friend, also aged 14. The first teenager was taken to Fairfield Hospital where he was treated for a broken right leg. The other boy suffered minor cuts and bruises.

Witnesses say the rider of the bike, who was not wearing a helmet, rode away at high speed and has yet to be traced. Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Road Policing Unit at Bury on 0161 856 8073.
