STUDENTS from the University of Bolton helped clean-up one of the country's most popular beaches.
They joined around 100 other stdents from the North-west in a clean-up at Morecambe Bay.
Bolton Council donated heavy duty protective gloves and the Royal Mail provided 12 sets of high-visibility waterproof jackets for the sweep-up. The university became involved as part of Student Volunteering Week.
Last month the university won a volunteering award for helping to transform the run-down former Territorial Army barracks in Fletcher Street into a centre for the homeless.
