PARENTS in Lancashire are being encouraged to ensure their childrens primary school signs up to a free epilepsy training programme launched today by charity Epilepsy Action.
The charity is launching its training programme on the same day as latest figures suggest that there could be as many as 850 schoolchildren with epilepsy across the North-west.
The training sessions for primary schools are being delivered in 10 local education authorities as part of an epilepsy awareness pilot-scheme.
Schools wanting to register for a free training session contact Richard Edgar, volunteer co-ordinator for Epilepsy Action, on 0113 210 8800.
