WE have been asked to point out that an accident reported in the Friday, January 14 edition of the Bolton Evening News, was not a hit and run.
The driver of the car, Mr Alan Hallworth of Lea Gate, Harwood, did in fact stop and help an injured pedestrian after the accident at Chapeltown Road, Bromley Cross.
The information we published was supplied by the police. We apologise for any inconvenience and distress caused to Mr Hallworth.
