PUB operator Jennings has announced an increase in turnover ahead of plans for a greater presence in Bolton.
In the five months to January, 2005, according to unaudited management accounts, total turnover for the business increased by 5.5 per cent on the previous year.
Jennings recently announced plans for a £5 million expansion into Bolton and the surrounding area.
Last year, the company - which currently operates the New Inn in Leigh and the Spread Eagle in Turton - added eight more pubs to its estate across the North, but is now focusing on the area surrounding Bolton.
The firm has also appointmented Geoff Morrey as director of sales and marketing, and as a member of the executive committee, from last week.
The 45-year-old has previously worked for Guinness, Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries and Robert Cain, the regional brewer located in Liverpool.
