I BOARDED the bus to Bolton last Friday morning. Because it was a main shopping day the bus was full and I stood up near the front as there were no vacant seats.
The bus pulled over at a next stop and on it struggled a heavily pregnant woman.
I was astounded that not a soul offered her a seat!
If I was the bus driver, I would have stopped the vehicle and asked the passengers if anyone would like to give their seat up for a pregnant lady? That would have embarrassed the bad-mannered people on that bus that day!
There have been several letters printed in the past regarding this issue, and yet some people still continue to be selfish.
Please, commuters, have a little respect for the public who do really need that seat!
