THE Mysterious Bog People are coming to Manchester.
A ground-breaking exhibition charting more than 14,000 years of cultural history will open at the award-winning Museum of Science next month - the only UK date.
It will contain more than 400 artefacts found in the bogs and swamps of north western Europe. On show will be the oldest known coat in the world, jewellery, coins and musical instruments.
There will also be a chance to come face-to-face with the extraordinary facial reconstructions of Yde girl - a 16 year old girl from the first century A.D. discovered in the Netherlands and Red Franz - an adult man from 200 AD found in Germany.
The exhibition opens on February 5 until May 8. Advance booking is available on www.msim.org.uk or telephone 0870 4000 636.
