POLICE have arrested a man for allegedly throwing a bucket of manure over Euro MP Robert Kilroy-Silk.
The UK Independence Party member was arriving at Manchester High School for Girls, along with Bolton MP Ruth Kelly, when the attack happened.
The incident occurred at 7.15pm, on December 3, as Kilroy-Silk attended the school for a recording of the BBC Radio 4's Any Questions.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police say that a 37-year-old man from Wilmslow had been arrested on suspicion of causing racially aggravated criminal damage, public order offences and assault.
Ruth Kelly, who has since been appointed Secretary of State for Education, is also believed to have been hit by the slurry.
