A SECURITY operation will be mounted by police in Manchester from Sunday until next Wednesday to coincide with deputy Prime Minister John Prescott's summit on Sustainable Communities being staged in the city.
G-Mex, the Manchester Conference Centre and the Bridgewater Hotel and surrounding areas will be cordoned off throughout the event and closed to the general public. Police warn that some traffic disruption may occur.
Around 2,000 delegates are expected to attend next weeks summit.
