I AM writing to express my concern at the planned changes to waste collection. I, along with every other Bolton resident, pay council tax to cover this service.
Is this Liberal council willing to pay extra funding to remove waste left by fly tipping and extermination of vermin such as rats?
I am all for recycling and I do all that I can to do this, and the council provides you with a bin for rubbish, a bin for garden waste, and a bin for bottles and cans, which I am grateful for as I have two young children who I try to encourage to recycle, but when the council doesn't even bother to empty the bottle bins on my street, what kind of message is that towards recycling?
If the council is facing a fine for not meeting Government targets on recycling, why should the people have to suffer for this?
Mr M Dixon
