Adlington had an easy game to stay top of the John Smith's Farnworth Winter Rounders League as they played bottom side FSCCC B and won by 88 runs.

Second placed Hanson beat Church Hotel by 28 to stay two points behind the leaders, but Siddons slipped a place after losing by eight runs to AJs although they were 12 ahead on the first innings.

Capital's 18 run win over Bolton Motor Bodies put them level with Siddons in joint third and just four points behind leaders Adlington.

The Briarfield notched up two welcome points with a 10-run win over FSCCC A who are four points and two places above them in the table.

Westhoughton & District continued their dominance of the Halliwell League Division One as they dismissed Smithills Coaching House with 10 balls to spare in both innings. The positions throughout the Division were unchanged as Fox Trots and Darcy XI both recorded comfortable victories.

The top three in Division Two were also victorious, but unbeaten leaders Future XI had to rely on their 30-run handicap start to beat The Three Pigeons by 17.

It was a good day for second-placed Young Darcy who crushed Hulton Lane Ladies by 57 runs while Beer Monster moved two points clear of the Three Pigeons following their narrow 14 run win over a severely depleted Bolton Castle side which could only muster six players.
