THE weather postponed many of the Bolton Boys Federation fixtures with only a few afternoon games surviving the cold snap.

The U12s section was decimated with only one game taking place in the Jubilee Cup.

That featured Bolton Lads & Girls Club against Bromley Cross, with the Lads Club side running out 4-0 victors over their second division opponents

The U13s fared better with a total of three games in the league and one in the Jubilee Cup being completed.

In the league, Fletcher Moss proved too strong for Bromley B, with Remico Rock scoring five goals, while Jordan Peel went on to score a hat-trick for the Manchester outfit.

Astley Bridge travelled to Deans Sports, only to lose 4-0, but the score did not reflect the game as the Bolton side were unlucky having squandered two early chances.

Hindley Town closed the gap to three points on league leaders Langworthy with a home win against Winton Wanderers.

It was a similar situation in the U14s as leaders Lads Club beat AFC Standish 7-1 to go three points clear.

In the U15s, only one game survived, Atherton LR beating Eagley Rangers 5-1. The game was played in great spirit, with Eagley dominating the first half and taking an early lead. However, Atherton fought back to level the scores and then in the final ten minutes, four goals from Dean Boxall finally gave them victory.
