THE Chief Constable of Lancashire Police has been hand-picked for a top job in London. Paul Stephenson, aged 51, will become the new Deputy Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Service.
The announcement was made by the Home Office and the Metropolitan Police Authority on Wednesday.
