SUPERFIT Olympic boxer Amir Khan is helping to put the fun into health and fitness for people in Great Lever.
Bolton teenager Amir is joining an action-packed healthy lifestyle event on Saturday.
The silver medallist will be guest speaker at the day, which runs from 11am to 3pm at Hayward School, Lever Edge Lane.
The event, which is free, is organised by Great Lever Neighbourhood Management Pathfinder, which is aiming to help residents into health and fitness. Great Lever has some of the poorest health records in the borough.
Visitors can find out about blood pressure monitoring, diabetes, dental hygiene, quitting smoking, teenage sexual health, mens health, healthy living and eating tips, health support networks and budget management.
They can also try out Indian head massage, reflexology, Tai Chi, exercise to music, armchair exercises, henna hand painting and face painting.
They will be able to sign up to membership of local sports groups and fitness sessions.
Some light, healthy refreshments are on the menu - along with free gifts including pedometers and free passes to local fitness centres.
