DRUG users who set up a den above a junior school boiler room are believed to have started a fire on Monday night.
Firemen found evidence of drug taking in a roof space above the boiler room at St Benedicts Junior School in Abbot Street, Hindley.
Fire alarms in the school alerted firemen to the blaze just after 11pm and they managed to limit the damage to a small section a wooden floor.
The rest of the school was not affected.
