ON behalf of Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council, I would like to take the opportunity to extend an invitation to all citizens of the borough to join me at this year's Holocaust Memorial Ceremony which is entitled "Survivors, Liberation and Rebuilding Lives".
The ceremony commences at 3pm on Sunday, January 30, in the Festival Hall, Bolton Town Hall.
I do hope fellow Boltonians will join me at the Holocaust Ceremony because it gives us all a chance to come together to remember all those who suffered as a result of ethnic cleansing and other atrocities.
The Vicar of Bolton will lead the ceremony supported by various members of the clergy. As well as our civic representation, taking part this year will be representatives from community groups and pupils from a number of Bolton schools.
The Mayoress and I look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday. If you require any further information about the ceremony, please contact the Mayors Office on 01204 331057.
Councillor Prentice Howarth
Mayor of Bolton
