I WAS upset to read of the tragic crash on Belmont Road on Thursday night and offer my sympathies to the family concerned.
As a regular user of that road, I am fully aware of that treacherous stretch in particular.
Early last year I was narrowly missed by a car which then careered out of control hitting a lamppost and wall.
One girl was trapped and the car could have easily ended up in the reservoir, resulting in another tragedy.
In the article it was mentioned that it is a well known blackspot, and yet along the road there are no measures in place to deter motorists.
Considering all the misplaced speed cameras all over Bolton, I for one am in full support of measures finally being placed in such a well known blackspot.
