Bolton Mets 24 West Bank 26: BOLTON Mets were unlucky to lose at home against league leaders West Bank Swan from Widnes.
First half tries came from Andrew Charky, Ian Grounds and Lee Williams for a 14-10 lead at the break but the Mets' defence can take credit after tackling the opposition off the park, with prop and man of the match Ryan Terry at the forefront.
Bolton's superiority continued into the second half, a try by winger Ross McFarrer and a 50 yard solo effort by loose forward Mark Dorning putting them further in front at 24-10.
Yet from that point, the home side ran out of steam, mainly through a lack of substitutes, and West Bank ran in three tries in the last 10 minutes to seal the game.
The Mets are still looking to strengthen their squad. Ring Chris on 01204 380521.
