A MAN has appeared in court charged with causing the death of a 13-year-old teenager by dangerous driving.
Steven Lewis, aged 35, of Westland Avenue, Farnworth, appeared at Bolton Crown Court on Friday.
Teenager Carla Bate was killed on August 8 following a collision at the junction of Longcauseway and Albert Road in Farnworth.
Her friend, Leanne Keegan, also aged 13, of Aster Avenue, suffered serious head injuries in the crash.
Lewis was remanded in custody until November 25.
