AS the year 2004 comes to an end, many of us will think about our holiday in 2005.
If you are thinking of going abroad, please think about the country you are visiting and where your hard-earned cash is going. Ask yourself, do I want to be a part of this?
Spain is a very popular holiday destination, but do you realise the animal cruelty that goes on there?
In Tordesillas they have the Festival of Bulls, where young bull calves, only months old, are tortured to death. Pumped full of drugs, these majestic young animals are cornered and castrated, before being speared by horsemen over and over again.
Pinned to the ground, unable to escape, it faces an agonising death. The animal cries out in pain as his tail is wrenched off.
The victor is whoever deals the killing thrust.
To them this is entertainment. Do you think it is entertaining to watch a poor animal treated in this way, or is it easier to turn a blind eye?
If you do care, please don't give your custom to a country that treats animals in this way, as no creature deserves to be treated like this.
Think twice before you decide and plan your next trip and holiday with a clean conscience.
