A GIRL from Bolton has been picked by pop stars Westlife to sing on their latest album.
Joanne Hindley was successful at auditions held by the Irish boy-band to find a singer for one track on their swing-inspired collection.
Joanne auditioned at The Lowry, Salford Quays, and then in London before being picked by band members Shane Filan, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne and Mark Feehily.
She will also feature on a special Christmas show on ITV which will chart her rise from obscurity to singing with her favourite band.
Thousands of hopefuls wanted to sing with the band.
Shane said: "She has a brilliant voice. X-Factor's Simon Cowell helped us choose, so you know she's going to be good."
Although just one girl was chosen, the award-winning group were impressed with the high standard of talent throughout the auditions.
