YOUNG football fanatics in Chorley have the chance to learn some extra special skills during half term when a world champion bounces into town.

Soccer skills champion Rob Walters is hosting a 'keepy-uppy' challenge on Wednesday, October 17.

Youngsters from schools and football clubs will have the chance to attend mini-masterclasses when he will be demonstrating his 130 ball skills.

Rob holds the world record for keeping a football in the air for more than 17 hours, using various parts of his body apart from his hands.

Skills include the head balance, shoulder roll, chest pin, flying scissors and the bomb.

Rob, who has body doubled for Brazil and Real Madrid ace Ronaldo, and appeared at three Champions League Finals, has travelled the world demonstrating his skills.

The demonstration is outside the QS discount store, Pall Mall, starting at 11am.

Everyone will be invited to watch special demonstrations and to seek help and advice from the champion.

QS managing director, Simon Yates said: "We're hoping to link up with a local charity and help raise some funds as well"

Any youngsters from local soccer clubs who want to meet Rob should contact Freedman Brown Communications on 01772 554300.
