CHARITY fundraiser David Mason has completed his latest swim to raise money for the Mayor of Bolton's charities.
The 47-year-old, who has been paralysed down his left side since birth, has raised more than £11,000 for several charities over the last 24 years.
In his latest event, Mr Mason completed 36 lengths of the swimming pool at the Jubilee Centre, Halliwell.
He is still calculating just how much money he raised for Bolton Children's Opportunity Group, Fort Alice and Barnardo's in the swim. Mr Mason, of Halliwell, has completed marathons, taken part in sponsored swims and organised charity shows to raise thousands of pounds for several local charities.
He has also organised a charity night of entertainment at Halliwell Labour Club, featuring singers Mike Enfield, Vince Williams and Steve Sinclair. The show will take place on November 11, starting at 7.30pm. Admission is £3. Proceeds will go to charity.
