I took my grandmother shopping on Saturday, October 9. We went to the market and tried parking on their car park (she has a disability card to park free). When trying to find a disabled parking spot we couldn't find any free ones, but there were normal ones available. We parked in one of them, but had to pay because it wasn't a disabled space. So I went and got my ticket and displayed it in my driver's window.
We went shopping, and then came back to the car only to find a parking fine had been stuck to my window. This noted that either I hadn't Paid and Displayed or it wasn't shown clearly, so I had to pay the £30 fine within 14 days -- or it would increase to £60, to be paid in 28 days.
I couldn't believe it! So I drove round to the car park office and explained the situation. The woman there took a copy of all relevant paperwork. I then had to fill a form in and was told I would have to wait for a reply through the post.
This has caused me much anger and distress, never mind the waste of my time and petrol.
