Bolton Sunday League: GREENWOOD proved to be top of the shots in the Bolton Sunday League as they romped to a crushing win over Bowling Green.

Woolfenden, Fisher and Mason scored two goals each as Greenwood won 7-3, with Walker netting the other.

There were also plenty of goals at Ladybridge, who drew 3-3 with Jolly Waggoner.

Austin, Reynolds and Crombie scored for Ladybridge, but goals from Dobson and Caffery (2) secured a point for the visitors.

Horwich Vic came away from their trip to Arkwrights with a 3-2 win. Brobbey scored twice for Vic and Conway grabbed their other goal, while Sutcliffe and Quinlan were on target for the home side.

Armitage LC were also handsome winners, beating Bradford Arms 3-1 with goals from J Lightfoot, D Lightfoot and Morris, with Everington replying for the losers.

Prince Rupert and Clifton Rangers took the honours in the First Division with good wins.

Clifton were 5-2 winners at Beaumont, with all five goals coming from the boot of Walsh, while Rupert went to AFC Heaton and came away with a 4-1 victory.

S Lomax (2), G Lomax and Farnworth were on target for Rupert, while Barnett replied for Heaton.

Black Horse and Britannia Farnworth drew 3-3. Two of the Black Horse goals came from penalties, with Bates and Vause both holding their nerve to score from the spot. Wood added their other goal.

Greenfield edged out Darcy Lever with a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Stevens and Mellor, while Farnworth Canary were 4-3 winners at Smithills, and Fox & Stork grabbed a 3-1 home win over Pied Piper.
