A SECOND-HALF fightback saw Bolton U15s come back from two down to draw 3-3 at Salford in the Greater Manchester Schools' League.

Salford went ahead after five minutes when Jack Burrows found the net.

Jacob Wood doubled the lead seven minutes later with an 18-yard drive.

Bolton suffered a further blow when goalkeeper Pat Simpson (St Joseph's) was taken to hospital with a suspected broken wrist after making a magnificent save just before half-time.

But they came out for the second half fired up, and pulled a goal back 15 minutes after the break, when James Winteringham (Rivington and Blackrod) fired a shot in off the post.

Luke Ashworth (Little Lever) levelled the scores 10 minutes later with a 40-yard free kick.

Salford must have thought they had won when Matthew Mainwaring converted from the spot after being brought down five minutes from the end.

But Bolton claimed a point when debutant Mark Lawson (Sharples) headed home another Ashworth free kick in the last minute.

Bury U15s held Wigan to a 1-1 draw in their Greater Manchester Schools' League match.

Adam Edwards gave Bury the lead after 37 minutes, but Wigan equalised 60 seconds later with a Michael Case goal.
