COMIC Peter Kay's latest DVD has become the fastest seller of the year, figures showed today.
That Peter Kay Thing has shifted more than 145,000 copies in its first week.
It went straight in at number one and is the fastest selling television DVD of 2004, according to Channel 4.
And it could turn out to be the year's biggest seller as fans rush to buy it in the run-up to Christmas.
Its success comes exactly a year after the second series of Phoenix Nights became the fastest seller of 2003.
First shown on TV five years ago, That Peter Kay Thing features the Bolton comic playing different characters in a series of spoof documentaries.
It introduced wheelchair-bound club boss Brian Potter, who went on to be the star of Channel 4 hit Phoenix Nights.
Kay is soon to return to our screens in the Phoenix Nights spin-off Max and Paddy.
