A MAN accused of driving at 115mph has had the charges against him dropped after proving his 1.2 litre Fiat Punto was not capable of reaching such speeds.
Law student Steve Lucas, aged 20, of St Helens, was stopped by police on the M62 in West Yorkshire but commissioned an independent report which stated the car could not reach the speed claimed.
