IN reply to Mr A Smith's letter (August 21), I would ask you to study the "Atlas Of Great Britain", where you will find only one Wolverhampton, and only one Middlesbrough.
There are five Boltons and 11 areas commencing with Bolton ie: Bolton-Ie-Sands. Without the post code, Bolton requires some other form of identification, be it Greater Manchester or Lancashire. I would hesitate to call it a "Prop", more a necessity.
