Horwich RMI Harrier men continue to dominate the local racing scene, recording team victories in the recent Four-Mile Jubilee Road Race and at last Wednesday's Harrock Hill Fell Race.

The Horwich RMI Harriers Jubilee Road Race, event three of a four race series and the latest race in the Central Lancs Grand Prix Series, had a tremendous field of 275 runners and Paul Roby led the Harrier men to victory finishing a terrific fifth overall.

Adrian Selby 10th, Darren Kay 15th and Dave Massey 23rd completed the winning team.

Tony Hesketh continued to run well and was a winner in the over 55 category. Lisa Heyes was first lady, though as yet unable to count for the Harriers in a team.

Second lady was Katie Ingram who, with Suzanne Budgett (first lady over-40) and Gaynor Higson (third lady over-35), helped secure the Harriers ladies' team second place behind Wigan Phoenix. Bolton runner Paul Freary was second in a time of 21.02 behind Rick Hayman of Sale (20.50).

Colin Rigby finished a superb second in last Sunday's Lancaster 10-Mile Road Race in a new personal best of 53.39, despite near gale force winds.

Rob Jackson finished second in last Tuesday's Jackson Family Cowm Reservoir 4.3-mile multi terrain race, in aid of Christie's Hospital. The race was won by Rochdale's Wajib Ali in 22.35, with Rob finishing second in 23.05. Steve Jackson was third and first vet in 24.33. Paul Boardman was seventh in 25.40. Bolton's Jim McNulty was 26th and first over-60 in a time of 30.37. Rob's father Bob Jackson was 41st in 39.40.
