I READ the article on off-road bikes in a park the other day.

It is a pity the police don't come and have a look at Oldhams Estate - there are accidents all over the place waiting to happen.

We have 14 to 16-year-olds, who I have never seen ride their electric scooters, mini motorbikes, petrol scooters on the park, but they have the front smashed -- they use the road. No crash helmets, no tax, no insurance, no brains, no road sense, up and down Athlone Avenue, Mackenzie Street, Cameron Street -- on a bus route, 30mph limit! Who cares it is school holidays.

Until an accident happens then it will be everyone's fault but theirs. This estate is also used by cars which cut through from Moss Bank way so we have a lot of fast traffic.

And there are the little ones. On Friday nights before the schools broke up there was a group of little ones riding on their toys. They were aged between 6-8 years. It was quite dark as they went down the middle of Mackenzie Street. It was 11.20pm, where were their parents?
