on pigeons

WHY keep picking on the pigeons for causing damage etc?

What about the cost of the yob culture we have?

On Chorley Old Road where I live there is graffiti six-foot high in the back street. Also the public telephone boxes and bus shelters are continuously smashed.

No one is ever chastised and the phone boxes and bus shelters are continuously replaced, only to be smashed up again within a few days. Why doesn't the council do something about these perpetrators?

The pigeons can not be that unhealthy as they were eaten as food not so long ago. Also, they played an important part during the Second World War carrying messages far quicker than today, when you have to get through to somewhere like India first.
