A BOLTON nightclub is set to hold its own "Pop Idol" event, in which budding rock stars will be given the chance to win £1,000 and a day in a recording studio.
Chicago Rock Cafe in Bridge Street will hold auditions on Wednesday, August 11, with the competition due to take place on August 29.
The event is open to anyone aged 18 and over. Performers can bring their own backing music or sing unaccompanied.
