AN APARTMENT building had to be evacuated for about 30 minutes last night after a pan caught fire in one of the flats.
At 8.30pm, six residents living in flats at a house in Bromwich Street had to be evacuated as firefighters tackled the blaze.
The pan fire badly damaged the kitchen and heavily smoke logged the flat. Damage was confined to one flat.
