THE funeral of a popular member of Bolton Little Theatre who collapsed during a walking holiday in the Lake District is being held on Wednesday.
Graham Godding, aged 58, of Cope Bank, Smithills, was found unconscious by passers-by at High Sweden Bridge, Ambleside.
He was with five friends on a weekend break when he complained of feeling unwell and set off walking back to their cottage in Bowness alone.
A funeral service is being held at St Luke's Church on Wednesday at 11am followed by the interment at Heaton Cemetery at noon. It is family flowers only and donations can be made to the British Heart Foundation or Bolton Hospice.
He leaves behind a wife Heliene and sons, Nathan, aged 31, and Leon, aged 20.
Mr Godding was a popular member of Bolton Little Theatre and enjoyed walking in Scotland, as well as the Lake District.
