BOLTON Golf Association champion Steve Bryan has reached the last 32 in the English Amateur Championship at Nottingham.
The Old Links golfer beat K Freeman, of Stoke Park, by one hole, which set him up for a match against Chris Evans, of Maxstoke Park.
The quarter-finals and semi-finals are on Friday, with the final on Saturday.
Bryan, who won 8&9 in the previous round said: "I went beserk in that game and completed the first nine in 31. It was a different story yesterday, but I managed to hang on."
