Radcliffe 3 Southport 2: PHIL Denney scored twice as Radcliffe came back from two down to beat Southport 3-2 at Stainton Park.
Denney's two goals, scored in the 58th and 68th minutes, brought Borough level before former Rochdale striker Rory Patterson fired in a late winner.
Former Sunderland and Burnley defender Gordon Armstrong made his first appearance for Borough following his summer signing from Accrington.
And manager Kevin Glendon gave starts to triallists Steven Hill - a former Rochdale defender - and keeper Barry George.
