A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of child abduction after an incident in Tyldesley involving an 11-year-old boy.
The 22-year-old man was detained after an attempt was made to pull the boy into a car in Manchester Road on Monday night.
Police said the boy managed to run away after the incident just before 10pm and the man, from the Tyldesley area, was arrested later.
Police are expected to question the man throughout today.
